Initiated and founded by three senior and enthusiastic professionals in 2016, Hong Kong Silk Road Cultural Society aims to combine the academic and commercial resources from domestic and overseas, and to become the framework and platform for comprehensive and substantive cooperation between Hong Kong,  China and the countries along the ancient Silk Road.

The society has a long term development plan to build up an international platform for cultural exchange and cooperation. It will invite a number of scholars and specialists from globally renowned universities and museums for in-depth academic research on the topics related to the ancient Silk Road. On the other hand, our long term strategic insights will also attract the involvements from the commercial world, especially the international auction houses, the financial institutions and the main players in tourism industry, in order to discover the new business opportunities in the cultural industry among the different countries along the Silk Road. At the same time, Hong Kong will be level up as an important hub in the international cultural exchange activities under the “One Belt One Road” national strategy.
